My Healing Philosophy
I believe that everyone is unique. There is no one size fits all approach to feeling your best. I do not believe in one specific kind of diet and am weary of any kind of trends in the wellness space. I believe in listening to your body. I believe that we each have our own unique wisdom and part of my job is helping you learn to tap into what your body, mind, and soul need to be the brightest most beautiful version of you.
I am a woman in two worlds. I believe soundly in listening to what the latest scientific research has to say about healing and nutrition. I study functional medicine because I want the latest research behind my reasoning for recommending certain lifestyles, diets and healing protocols. And I want my approach to come from the perspective of seeing the body holistically, which is the hallmark of not only functional medicine, but Chinese medicine as well.
However, I work with Chinese medicine, because I believe the body is more than the sum of its parts. There is more to the body than meets the eye, and I have never believed this more than now, after seeing countless incredible healings occur during my time in practice over the last few years. The most beautiful part of Chinese medicine is the fact that I get to work with your physical body, not just send you off to the pharmacy. I have the honor of actually caring for my patients in a tangible way. And because a typical treatment runs about an hour, I get to have quality time with you. It allows me time to get to know you, understand how your body works and what it may be needing, and time to put together a treatment plan to gently bring your body into balance. It’s a really beautiful and effective system for caring for our bodies, which is why it has lasted over 2,000 years.
